Laser Therapy - Patient Information

Explanation:
Vasculight is a non-invasive medical system that uses light to treat numerous benign cosmetic conditions. The treatment involves: 1. Wearing glasses to protect your eyes. 2. Applying a chilled gel to the treated area. 3. Applying a hand piece in the gel, above the skin. 4. Pulses of intense light will flash that may cause a mild sting or pinch. The number of treatments required varies, depending on the severity and density of your condition.

Treatable Conditions:
Leg veins Port wine stains Enlarged pores
Birthmarks Tattoos Rosacea
Age spots Hair removal Wrinkles
Scars Freckles Sun-damaged skin
Aging Skin Facial veins Dull complexions

Benefits:

  • Affordable
  • Ability to resume routine activities immediately Excellent long-term results
  • Alternative to invasive and painful surgeries Little, if any, discomfort
  • Gradual improvement with few risks Brief treatment time
  • Ability to simultaneously treat a range of concerns No interruption of lifestyle

General Information:

  • You may experience mild discomfort similar to a sting or pinch during treatment, but it subsides quickly. A mild burning sensation may last for up to one hour.
  • Short-term side effects are minimal but possible. The most common side effect is slight reddening of the treated skin. Others include: Initial darkening of pigmented areas, temporary swelling, bruising (if vein therapy is provided), and/or scarring. All of these are unlikely if post treatment instructions are followed properly.
  • The treated skin will be sensitive for several days. Make-up may be applied after the therapy. Sun exposure must be avoided 3-4 weeks before and after treatments.

Caring For Your Back
Back exercises are an essential part of back care. Conditioning the muscles that support your back can relieve and, in many cases, prevent a problem back. Back care also means using good posture throughout the day and lifting safely. Taking care of your back is one of the best investments you'll ever make and the returns are worth it -- a strong healthy pain-free back.
