Dr. Burroughs graduated from U.T.'s Center for Health Sciences in Memphis. After completing his premed program at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, he conducted his Family Practice residency at the Martin Army Hospital in Ft. Benning, Georgia. He then served two additional years in the millitary.

Dr. Burroughs is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice.
